Is anyone else feeling jittery as we tick over into the new year? Lingering anxieties about what lies ahead for 2025? If so…here’s a track that will alleviate such thoughts.

“Bliss Song” by Irish producer Soria is a walk through a garden that has just experienced a healthy dose of rain. Made up of synths that sound like walking towards an altar and whispered voices, this one feels like everything is going to be okay. I imagine a couple lying in bed looking deep into each other’s eyes, a palpable energy in the room…I guess that’s love.

“You are not nothing…it’s giving you a second chance to make things right. This is your chance.”

Sometimes all we need to hear are affirmations and “Bliss Song” delivers them sweetly. Laced throughout are chirping birds and water pattering against the earth, further building upon what’s already a super serene world.

If you’re looking for more immersive ambient Soria released “Labyrinthine Thread” early last year, a 24-minute album consisting of field recordings from ferries that pass across the Irish and Atlantic Seas with spoken word adapted from Kate Chopin’s novel “The Awakening”.

Thanks for writing this one Soria, it’s made me feel better about what’s ahead.
